They are the materials which serve as building blocks for your home, your wardrobes, your bird houses, and your toboggans. Wood is hard. Wood is strong. Wood is reliable - a friend who, when treated correctly, will not bend under weight nor flex its shape; a relationship standing the test of time to be a groomsman in your wedding.

But what if you wanted it to?

What if you wanted the wood to bend...and mold...and flex? I’m not talking about bamboo. Although quite the wood, bamboo will not be there for you to construct a permanent bouncy castle that doesn’t require air to merrily jump, play and prance upon. And three days later, when the birthday party is over, your mom says, “Alright John, it’s time to deflate the bouncy castle. It’s ruining the grass and we need to return it. Also, please stop bringing the dog on there, he’s running around like a maniac and going to puncture holes in it. Grow up, you’re 28 years old. This was for your cousins birthday party with his 4th grade classmates.” — no. Bamboo cannot be the solution to that rollercoaster of emotion. It simply doesn’t exist.
