- Twist the top and take off the top/attached crank.
- Take the meg, put it in the pit where that crank shaft once was
- Put the top and the crank back on, trapping the nutmeg securely between the disc of the shaft and the sharp grinder
- Crank the crank and watch that nutmeg turn to powder
